Little Wonders

It was so quiet as I sat near the pool side tonight.
no sound was heard,
only the sound of water flowing
and the soft, gentle, cool night air.

Though the stars tonight were unseen,
but I had one beside me.
It was brighter than any others.
As we talked on and on
for hours.

I don't feel like going home.
But yet, the clock struck 12 midnight.
Its time to go
before the spells vanished.
I ran and looked back to say my last goodbye
to the star I have met.

Tonight will be one that I will never forget.
